04 — In the home
You know the kid, the goals, the home program. We bring the language. The visit works because both pieces are there.
How it works
Our interpreter arrives a few minutes before you, introduces themselves to the family, and sits where they can hear both sides clearly. During the session they render consecutively. After the visit they don't linger — they're language, not relationship.
They will not coach the family on answers to your questions, will not paraphrase your clinical observations, and will not abridge your home-program instructions to save time. If a clinical term won't have a clean equivalent in the family's language, they'll flag it and ask for a sentence of plain explanation.
Refer your district
Many of our standing engagements began when a therapist asked the contracting district to bring us in. If you're working in NJ homes for a district that hasn't engaged a language services partner — or is using one that isn't trained for special-education work — we make introductions easy. Send the special-services director's name and we'll reach out directly.
Or send them this page.
